Do the Celtics have life without IT4?

What’s IT4 got to do with it? Frankly the whole basketball world has love for Isiah Thomas and his story, and someone would call you crazy if you didn’t. The man has a chip on his shoulder that bares the frustration of being picked 60th overall in 2011 NBA draft and he’s being using all of the draft picks before him as ammunition when he steps on the court and proves his worth in the league. Can the Celtics really take the series away from the Cavs without him in the lineup? That’s the 6.26-million-dollar question. The Celtics looked like a team possessed in the 2nd half, with only one purpose and that was to give the king a run for his money, but can they consistently do that for the rest of the series? The Celtics would have to shoot a high percentage from the 3-point arc, finish their defensive possessions by out rebounding the Cavaliers, and be able to run the Cavs off the 3-point line. It’s a tall task to ask of a team without their dynamic all-star. As a fan, you would love to see a great 7 game series but as a realist this series is on its way to an anticlimactic finish and everybody but the Celtics know it. LeBron’s performance in game 3 was an anomaly and even Celtics fans had to be shocked and confused to how their team pulled out a victory in Cleveland without their dynamic force in the backcourt. Don’t get it twisted, the Celtics are a good team and maybe even on the borderline of a great when Thomas is in the lineup but without their engine in the car, they might as well be peddling to the finish line like the Flintstones.
