Cleveland, here’s your tape.

You came out of the gates with no sense of urgency in the first half, making the Celtics look like a better of version of yourself. The Cavaliers defence couldn’t decide whether to defend the paint or give open looks to a Boston team that was playing as free as a bird. Quicken Loans arena slowly started to dwindle into sadness only to have little jolts of energy spark them in the dying minutes of the 1st half. Could you actually bring back life into the arena, or was it your curtain call?

Boston, here’s your tape.

You came out hotter than a 2009 issue of playboy, only to turn into a Sears catalogue in the 2nd half. You had tamed the beast by putting on a beauty of an effort in the first half but the first 5 minutes of the third quarter were the most critical minutes in the game and you let the momentum slip right between your fingertips. All it took was some key offensive boards and some open 3’s to get the Cavalier freight train revved up and before you knew it, you were in the visitors’ locker room down 3-1 in the Eastern Conference Finals.
