Should I Stay or Should I Go?

Months ago, Peats blog, published an article about how Irving is ready to take the reins of a franchise assuming it would be the Cavalier franchise but it’s looking like he’s looking for a new championship home to build for himself. When the news had dropped that Kyrie wanted to head in a different direction, the basketball world was in absolute shock and how can you blame them. He’s on a team that has been to the finals 3 straight years and you could compare it to Khaleesi conquering the 7 kingdoms but halting when the white walkers come into play. This year you could compare the Warriors to the white walkers and how everyone In the NBA would needs to team up with other NBA stars to defeat them , but then you take Irving who wants the spotlight instead of the rings. He wouldn’t last very long in game of thrones and the same goes in the NBA real world. We had stated that he was ready to take the reins but he still needs help and the best place for him is Cleveland if he wants to be the man and still win. Sure you have to play alongside one of the most coveted player in history, LeBron James. But at the same time you have a chance of doing special with him around. Now if Irving goes to another franchise he could end up being the go to guy but he’s still going to need a great supporting cast and that costs money that the franchise may not have. The franchise may not be in a big market, and if it all falls in place, it’s still going to take time. At the end of the day he doesn’t have a choice in the matter because there is no trade clause in his contract and that could end up being a rocky situation if the Cavalier franchise decides to move him in an obsolete destination where his relevance will become non-existent. In all, Kyrie is a great player who can run a team but can he be the face of the franchise? Yes. Can he lead a team to multiple championships and rule the 2 Kingdoms? Tune into the NBA season starting October 17th and find out!
